Scott Sizemore

Was traded by Detroit Friday afternoon to the Oakland Athletics for RP David Purcey. Sizemore wasn't cutting it as Detroit's primary 2nd baseman after being recalled from AAA but the trade is still puzzling. Purcey is undoubtedly one of those "power arms" Dave Dombrowski covets, and he's a lefty, but the guy can't find the plate to save his life. Detroit's 2nd base situation is something to avoid moving forward in fantasy, as the position has yielded just 2 extra base hits in 131 at bats for the season.
